Hello world! My name is Elaina Rose and at two days old, I thought that I should make my first ever blog entry. At 1:52 AM on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, I finally made my long-awaited appearance! On Monday, Mommy and Daddy went to the hospital at 7:15 AM and were hoping to see me sometime that day. Little did they know that I had other plans. Despite Mommy's best efforts, I refused to budge because I was facing the wrong way and had gotten tangled up with my cord. 17 1/2 hours later, the doctors had to pull me out of Mommy's belly. It was hard on Mommy and me, but I'm worth it!
I've been spending the past few days hanging out with Mom and Dad in the hospital. I'm keeping busy just eating, sleeping, and constantly being held. I should be allowed to go home on Friday and I can't wait to meet my two crazy dogs!

I am so happy that you are finally here!! You sure did take your time! You are my first cousin! I am so excited about that. You are really cute. Mommy, Daddy, and I can't wait to meet you.

I hope to get to know you very well over the next several years, so let this be the first of many Hellos! I am dying to meet you. You look like a very good snuggler - I think we will be great friends.
