Happy Thanksgiving!

Gobble Gobble. It's turkey-time! I got to experience Thanksgiving for the first time and I had a blast! Mommy, Daddy, Leroy, Lucy and I all packed up in the car and drove down to Nanny's for the holiday. We arrived Wednesday to get settled and I woke up early on Thursday in anticipation of the big day. I spent the majority of the day playing with Mommy, Daddy, and Nanny until Uncle Bob arrived in the afternoon.

Mommy and I hanging out before our guests arrive.

Nanny's piano is a blast!

Mommy and I playing on the floor.

Who needs toys when you can get into Nanny's things?!

I woke up from my afternoon nap just in time of the main event. Daddy and Uncle Bob pulled out the turkey and then it was time to eat! I sat at the big table and showed everyone how well I eat (heehee). My Thanksgiving meal consisted of a half of banana (which I threw on the floor), sweet potatoes (which I swatted away), pancakes, and a piece of turkey (which I ignored completely). I was more interested in being the center of attention rather than eating but what else is new?!

I don't like coffee, it makes me jittery!

After dinner, I got a bath and a change of clothing and got to play on the floor. It all went by so fast but I enjoyed every minute of it!

9 Month update

Ellie: Master Blogger

I know that I've been neglecting my blogging obligations and disappointing my avid readers. This post should hopefully make up for all of that lost time! As you know, I am now 9 months old and well on my way to 1 year! Everything was fine at my 9 month checkup (except for having to get the two flu shots!) and I'm keeping up my impressive growth pace. I weighed in at 20 lbs 9 oz (75th percentile), 28 inches long (80th percentile) and I still have a ginormous noggin (97th percentile).

Over the past few months, I've learned to do so much and though I'm sure I'll forget to mention everything, here are a few of the highlights:

1. I've mastered the art of crawling. Long gone are the days of flopping all around the floor. I can now move from one end of the room to the other in a flash!

2. I'm almost walking! I can walk around with a push toy and I am so close to taking my first step. Any day now!

3. I'm a dancing fool! When the music starts playing, I start grooving! Watch me shake it (like a polaroid picture, Daddy says)!

4. I love to play! Here are some clips of Ellie being Ellie. Enjoy!

Now it's time for the photo montage!

That's all folks!

Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween!

Though I was too young to go out trick-or-treating, I still got to dress up in my Halloween outfit. As everyone knows, I am the most graceful of babies so it was only fitting that I dressed up as a ballerina! I wasn't a big fan of the tutu so it only stayed on long enough for the photo shoot. My friends Steve and Amy came by for dinner and all of the trick-or-treating activity. My bedtime is still pretty early so I missed much of the fun but next year I'll be sure to be out there getting some candy. Time to start planning next year's outfit!

Yeah for Halloween!

Apple Pickin'

This weekend Daddy, Mommy, Nanny, and I went apple picking up on Carter's Mountain. This was my first time on the orchard and it was fantastic! Daddy strapped me to his back and we walked all around picking apples.

After picking apples, Daddy's back needed a break so we sat under a tree and played with what else, apples! I wasn't a big fan of the taste but they were fun to roll around on the ground.

There was also a large patch of pumpkins for sale that I just had to check out for myself.

I can't wait to go back to the orchard and maybe next time, I'll get to pick the apples off the tree myself!

Cheesy Poofs

I can't believe that I spent the first six months of my life on a liquid-only diet. Eating solid food is much more fun and tasty! By far my favorites are Mum-mum rice crackers and Gerber cheesy poofs. They are so good that even Mommy and Daddy like to eat them!

Cheesy poof goes in here.

If there's anything better than eating Mum-mums...

it's feeding them to Leroy!

I usually don't feed Leroy my food but I do like to tease him. I'll stick the food right in front of his face and then pull it back. Mommy and Daddy can't believe that Leroy hasn't eaten my hand off yet but he's been so patient with my teasing!

Cheesy poofs, one by one.

The best part of eating: Mommy making me laugh while I eat!

Guess what....

...I can now crawl on my hands and knees! After two months of belly flopping (commando crawling), I decided to just start crawling on my hands and knees. I can now get around so much quicker! I'm also cruising around on all of the furniture. I love being mobile! Watch out!

Growing up

Here's a video collage of my photos from birth to now. It's pretty long so give it some time to load. It's well worth the wait.

Let's Go Sox!

Daddy and I are ready for this weekend's big series against the Yankees. The Sox are hot right now and they need to do well this weekend!

Real Sox fans where pink.

Here I am practicing my "Yooouuukkk!" chant!

Daddy and the Sox. What more do I need?

New hobbies (or obsessions)

Much to Mommy's and Daddy's dismay, I have two new hobbies that keep them on their toes! Whenever I'm free to roam the floor, I'm usually going to try to do one of the following:

1. Pull up on everything! Now that I have discovered how to pull up to standing, I will do it everywhere! The couch, kitchen chairs, trunk, and of course, my toys are all fair game.

2. Playing with the dog bowls! I don't know if its the thrill of the forbidden or simply imitating my doggies, but I love the dog bowls! They make the best sound when you bang on them and if you're lucky, you can splash water all over the place!

Hello!

Hello...
Hello...
Hello!

Hello everyone!

As you can see, I'm getting to be such a big girl! I'm now 7 months old and I can do all sorts of new tricks. I can waive "hello," get into out of sitting position, pull up to my knees and even pull up to standing. My favorite new tricks are eating my mum-mum crackers all by myself and playing catch with Daddy.

Future bowler.

How's this for upper body strength?!

Here's how I unwind after a busy day.
