YOU - VEE - AY

It was a beautiful summer weekend and Mommy, Daddy, and I walked around UVA with all of our visitors. I'm so lucky to be near the most beautiful campus...errrr...grounds in the world! Daddy has already told me wonderful things about The University and even reads stories about Cavman to me at night. I'm a full-fledged Wahoo!

Peace, Love, and Rock 'n Roll

It's time to rock 'n roll! Daddy and I played all morning and we had a blast! I even dressed up in his favorite outfit. Who wouldn't like some peace, love and rock 'n roll!

Month 4 Check-up

Blogging at a 12 month old level!

Today I had my 4th month check-up and the doctor was amazed at everything that I can do! She loved my two big teeth, and my great head control. She raved about my big blue eyes and my great reading ability! She even said that I can start eating some fruit and vegetables in four weeks!

Of course they measured me and as you all know, I'm a big girl! I measured 24.5 inches long (50-60th percentile), 15.5 pounds (90th percentile), and then there was my giant head. First the nurse measured my head and then remeasured it because it was off the chart. When the doctor came in, she didn't believe the nurse's measurement so she measured my head for a third time. All three measurements came out to be 44 cm, which is off the charts but they were kind and called it 97th percentile. The doctor then said that sometimes it's genetic and Daddy felt bad that I inherited the big Loura head. Big heads mean big brains!

All in all, I'm doing great and took my shots like a big girl! I don't have to go back for another 2 months!

Daddy's company picnic

Today I got to go to Daddy's company picnic at the park. Mommy and Daddy dressed me up in a cute outfit in the morning and got me ready for my fun-filled day. On the way to the park, I fell asleep in the car, which I commonly do. Mommy and Daddy pushed me around in my stroller while I napped. After an hour or so, I woke up and took in the whole event. It was fantastic! There were so many new faces to see and new smells to smell. I got my first whiff of BBQ and I like it! I got to see some of my friends and even made new ones! All in all, it was a great day at the park! When I came home, I had a bottle and passed out from all the excitement.

We were prepared for a sunny day so I had my stylin' hat and glasses. Luckily it was pretty cloudy and I didn't need them.

Trip to Nanny's

This weekend Mommy, Daddy, Leroy, Lucy and I all packed up and went to Nanny's for the weekend! Mommy had a night out with the girls and said that I was too young to join in the festivities and will have to wait until I am at least 2 years old before I can go out with girls. Instead, I got to spend the entire day with Daddy and Nanny!

First we went off to see Nana and her friends Will, Rose, and Ginny. They absolutely cracked me up! They should be on t.v. (or the magic box as I like to call it)!

When I get bored, I can always play with my flowers or entertain myself on the floor.

All in all it was a pretty awesome weekend!
